Mr. Khalid Al Adwan, Senior Psychologist at the National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) presented a presentation on Tuesday October 13th 2009 titled “Rehabilitation Program and returning of recovery patients to community”; the presentation is organized during the activities of training workshop for Red Crescent program volunteers. The presentation took place at the Emirates Centre for Strategic studies and research in Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Dr. Hamad Al Ghafeir/NRC Director General attended the presentation along with numbers of NRC staff. During the presentation Dr. Khalid highlighted addiction in general its definition, mechanism and early detection of it, in addition to basics for treatment centers and what should be provided and treatment methods that are carried in those centers both medication treatment, rehabilitation and psychological treatment. Dr. Khalid ended the presentation talking about after care for addiction patients.
